Terms of use
Buying an activation unlocks software on one device. No playlists, channels or media are included.
You choose the playlists and streams you add, and you confirm you have the right to watch them.
We update prices, features and these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the app means you accept the current version.
1. Who we are and what you're agreeing to
Premium Player is a media player application published at premiumplayer.com ("Premium Player", "we", "us"). These terms are a binding agreement between you and Premium Player covering the app on every platform we publish it for, the website, the activation and playlist management services, and the sync account. By installing the app, creating an account, activating a device or using the website you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.
2. What the app is, and what it isn't
Premium Player plays playlists in M3U, M3U8, JSON and Xtream Codes format that you supply. It reads guide data in XMLTV format from a URL you provide. The app ships empty: it contains no channels, films, series, recordings or playlists, and we do not sell, host, index, recommend or link to any of these. We are not an IPTV service and we have no affiliation with any provider of IPTV content. Anyone selling Premium Player bundled with a channel subscription, or describing the app as including channels, is doing so without our permission.
3. Free trial
Every new device gets a 7-day trial of the full app so you can confirm it works with your playlist on your hardware before you pay. The trial is per device and starts on first launch. When it ends, playback stops until the device is activated; your settings and playlists remain on the device.
4. Your licence
When you activate a device we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on that device for your own non-commercial use. The licence is tied to the device's MAC address. You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, resell, rent or sublicense the app, remove any notices from it, or use it to build a competing product. The app, its code, design, name and logo belong to Premium Player and its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
5. Your playlists and content
Everything the app plays comes from playlists and URLs you add. You are solely responsible for them. By adding a playlist you confirm that you own the content or have the right to view it, record it and, where you use casting or multi-screen, display it on other screens, and that doing so is lawful where you are. We do not inspect, endorse or vouch for any playlist, and we cannot answer questions about any provider's channel line-up, stream quality or billing. We do not support, encourage or condone streaming copyright-protected material without the rights holder's permission.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app or our services to infringe anyone's rights, to distribute or advertise playlists, to interfere with the activation service, to share or resell activations except as a registered reseller under a reseller agreement, or to misrepresent Premium Player as a content service. Attempts to bypass activation, tamper with the device key, or automate the website are a breach of these terms.
7. Accounts, activation and sync
Activation is identified by your device's MAC address and device key, and your receipt is sent to the email you give at checkout. Signing in with that email on another activated device enables sync of playlists, favourites and watch history between your devices. Keep your device key and account email private. Within 12 months of purchase you may transfer an activation once to a replacement device from the Manage page; after that, a new device requires a new activation. We may refuse or reverse a transfer that looks like resale.
8. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. Because the app contains no content, a complaint about a stream should go to the party distributing it. If you believe our website, app or a reseller using our name infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the material in question, where it appears, and proof that you hold or represent the rights. We respond to valid notices promptly and may suspend accounts used to distribute infringing playlists.
9. Service changes and availability
We work to keep the activation, playlist and sync services available, but they may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features, drop support for operating system versions that their makers no longer support, and change prices for new purchases. An activation you have already paid for keeps working on its device for the life of that device and app platform.
10. No warranty
The app and services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that the app will be error-free, that any stream will play, or that it will meet your requirements. Playback quality depends on your playlist source, device and internet connection, none of which we control.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Premium Player is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from playlists or content you add, from a provider's actions, or from interruptions to the service. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the activation concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights that apply where you live.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Premium Player and its staff against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the playlists or content you use with the app or from your breach of these terms.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end an activation or account if you breach these terms, if we receive a valid legal notice concerning your use, or if the activation was obtained fraudulently or through an unauthorised reseller. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Sections 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 and 15 survive termination.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the app, on the website or by email before they take effect. Using the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the consumer law of your home country gives you the right to bring a claim there. Before starting a claim, either party must send the other a written description of the dispute and allow 30 days to resolve it.
16. Contact
